popping noise

when i put my truck in gear foward or reverse it will most always make either a popping or clinking noise, it dosent matter what gear the t-case is in,what yall' think? could it be worn u joints?

U joints or trans mount maybe. You could get under there and twist your drive shaft back and forth and see if there is any slop.
