That looks like a good one, the specs are pretty good.
16.4scfm @ 100psi, should handle just about anything you throw at it. The price is not to bad either. Vince Last edited by 302/Z28; 03-07-2005 at 06:41 PM. |

Depends. If you are using it for an air brush, it is WAY too big. If you have a sandblaster w/ 2" nozzle, it is WAY to little. If it is for general shop use, HVLP spray gun, various grinders and sanders, it is perfect.

In that price range I would suggest looking at Ingersoll Rand,Eaton or(my favorite)Quincey. The Porter Cable may be ok but for about the same money you can go with the best. You are are on the right track with the two stage as that means a lot but if you do look at some other makes compare CFM ratings and not HP or tank size as CFM means everything and power ratings and tank size mean almost nothing. Don't be swayed by the physical size of the outfit as CFM is what counts.

Jim,
I just bought that exact model about two weeks ago. Great so far but haven't run my blasting cabinet with it yet..that will tell the tale. Hope you have a couple of strong buddies to help you unload it. It weights in at about 465 lbs. Also, I hate to tell you this, but I got mine for $749 - it was on sale at Fleet Farm (like Tractor Supply for those not in the midwest). Dewey
