Is it possible to port cylinder heads without removing them from the block.

Hey, it aint much more work to just pull the heads and go from there...besides, if ya have trouble, just ask!!

No, it is NOT possible to port the heads while they are on the engine. WHY would you want to do that, anyway?? Actually, anything more than slight porting in the valve pockets and matching the ports to intake and exhaust manifolds is pretty much a waste of time, unless you have access to a flow bench.

sure, you just need this milwaukee drill called a "hole hawg" and a 1 inch Arbor Bit that electricians use. Use one that is about 12 inches long, insert into top of manifold, squeeze the trigger and waller out all the runners till you can stick a tennis ball through them!
 oh yeah, to get rid of the excess metal filings, just remove one sparks plug at a time, while it's running and the filing will just be pushed out the spark plug hole. <img src="graemlins/crash.gif" border="0" alt="[crash]" /> [ January 09, 2003: Message edited by: bullheimer ]</p>

THERE WILL BE NO WAY TO DO SO EVEN TO GASKET MATCH WOULD EAT THE VALVE GUIDES IM SURE !
