posi viton valve seals

Hey guys what advantages would these

ive me over a basic thin wall uberella type?? These are the seals he recomended I use for my 062 vortec heads... Any suggs??

viton seals

These are a much better seal than an umbrella seal. For one the spring keeps it tight to the valve stem for less leakage, and the lower portion fits tightly around the boss of the valve guide, plus if these are the ones the heads call for I would definitely use them. I used to work for Chevrolet when these were first put out, they are an excellent seal. You can even machine the bosses on older style heads to accept these, which many people do. exhaust valve stems get hot as hell....

the viton flueropolymer survives alot longer than neoprene at higher temp....

the spring helps insure it does make the best seal possible....

there is only a tiny contact point with the stem to squeegee off the excess oil so you want the best material for the job...that's viton
