Positive valve seal advice please!!!

I know I need to machine the guides to install positive valve seals on the guides of pre-81 chevy SB heads, the problem is what are the final dimensions of the guide after machining, please don't tell me there is special tool to cut them, I don't have it and will be hard for me to get it, just tell me how the bosses should end up and I'll devise a way to machine them.
It would be great if someone knows a link to a site that explains this, with pictures better yet.

Thanks in advance.

Augusto.

Goodson sells a tool to cut the guides down. they have a variety of sizes available. My experience with small block Chevy's is to use a .500 or 1/2 inch cutter down just below the depth of the seal. Chamfer the top of the guide to allow a good start and seat of the seal. The diameter is going to vary depending which seal you are using. A .005 to .008 fit will be enough.
