I THINK (sometimes) that it just might be a couple of SOHC Frods - er Dorfs? Drofs? Whatever - (that company with the blew oval logo)
They look a lot like the ones used in the early-mid 60's with intake and exhaust "reversed" with the "bag'o'snakes" exhaust in the middle and individual side-draft carbs on the outboard sides of the heads. Distributors drive off the front of the cam.
Similar concept to what was used in F1, Indy and in the GT-40 Lemans racer
