Going to throw something together to use up some parts. JE flat tops, 6" scat rods, crower solid roller 250/252 .570/584 lift 112 LSA, EQ 220 heads, Victor Jr and probably my 750DP after I get my AED 850 for my Malibu. It will be a little light on compression 9.7:1, I' ll throw it in 4* advanced. I don't want to mill the heads there 70cc chambers. Any guesses on HP/TQ? I don't have the cam card on it handy.

They're for 6" rods, will use a shim head gasket to get .040 quench. Will be a low $ build not going to offset grind the crank. Should be fun regardless if it's optimized or not. My Malibu has 3.89's and 3600 stall already. Be a back up engine

I have a similar 357 build...
.040 010 block
Scat cast 3.48 crank
5.7 5140 Pro Comp bushed rods
flat top pistons, Total Seal gapless rings w/ gas ported spacers, Napier 2nd, 12lb oil rings
piston/deck .055", .039" gasket
solid roller 251/261 @ .050 .625" 114 LSA ICL 110
calculated dynamic comp says 8.28 but it's likely lower, cranks 100psi on the starter (.014" lash)
Brodix -10 SP heads 300cfm
Holley Strip Dominator
Carter 625
1-3/4" x 3" mid length headers, 3-1/2" single exh

2500lb car, faceplated manual 4spd (no overdrive), 3.73, 28" tires

Timing is locked @ 36, but there is a switch that allows me to activate a retard box if i want to calm it down in traffic.

Nothing to write home about driving around town, but it does get 20mpg and burns regular 87 oct gas. Reach back and turn the bottle on, flip a switch on the dash, suddenly it's 700whp in a 2500lb package. 5.70's in the 1/8. The original version of this back in '99 started out just like you, throwing together some leftover parts. Liked it so much i kept building them that way. The above build is the 3rd version. V4 is on the engine stand now...less compression, more spray.
