Hey all, I just got off the phone with our Du Point rep. Powder Paint is an insulator. Therefore will help keep the heat in the parent material. But, the rep was also telling me that some engine manufactures DO powder paint from factory. Harley Davidson is one of them. So, powder paint will cause your engines to run a little warmer, but this is apparently not a large factor. Sounds like the people that are overheating have other probs and blamed it on the coating because of basically an "urban legend". So will you see a 10-30 degree increase? Maby..... Depends on the engine. But overheat, No. Unless you don't know the difference between powder paint and ceramic coating.
