Power Brake Booster's real outside diameter?

Could someone that has done the tube x-brace/power brake booster under cab install give me some help please? What is the actual diameter of the 7" power brake booster? Is it actually 7" or is it more like 7 3/8"? I'm trying to mock up my tubular x-brace without the booster. I just ordered it...but would rather not wait if someone can help me. The one I ordered is the speedway 7" dual diaphram. Near as I can tell, I have to leave at least 13" of space between brace for the transmission to clear....which doesn't leave much room from the inside of the frame rail to the inside tube of the x-brace. If it is a true 7" booster...then I have it whipped without a problem. My frame gets much wider at the back so I'm having to move the booster just below the rear most part of the cab. Anyone?

Thanks,
Dave

The one I am using on a 39 Chevy came from Master Power and was advertised as a 7'' booster; the actual diameter (I measured using a caliper so this is a accurate measurement) is 6 13/16''. Does this help? Dave 39

Yes. Thanks very much! I should be in good shape. Just enough room.

Thanks,
Dave
