Stay far away from JC Whitney, you get what you pay for IMHO. You don't want to be pulling door panels off when those el cheapo solenoids fail. AutoLoc makes a very high quality kit.

it actully is Autoloc stuff that JC Whitney sells for that price. I guess it could be just simple operation, that makes it cheap like that. IDK.. personally, my Rambler doesn't even lock.. the tumblers in the doors are siezed
If you are looking for power door locks, (where you lock/unlock the latch), Dakota Digital sells a kit. Use the CMD4000 and a pair of PDR-1 lockmotors.
The remote kit is about 130.00 and the lockmotors are 35.00 each
If you want to have a door latch solenoid,(disengages the latch), you will need some solenoids from unkl als, or autoloc. Unkl Al was the first one to use the toyota starter solenoid that everyone is using these days.
There are, but be carefull of all the people there who dont know what is going on.
