Power glide issue

I have a power glide trans in a race car. Took it to the track this weekend and it started blowing fluid out when put into reverse. Any ideas on what this might be. Only thing I can think of is could be stopped up and blowing out the vent in the top.

Sounds like you got a reverse servo seal blown. Is it a trans brake or what?

Yes it has a trans brake. Buddy of mine said it could be a cracked case. Just had me puzzled only leaking in reverse.

A common fracture area on the OEM power glide case is at the rear in the area of the reverse piston in a race type use.

When the reverse piston is pressurized , the oil escapes in the crack.
