power pak 305?

I have an 84 305 with approx 7k miles on it. It is a reman from Recon. Do you think I would gain some decent power out of it if I were to put a set of 327 powerpak heads on it? the 327 heads are 64 cc with 2.02 1.60s. I know the 305 heads are 58 cc. Would the improved flow outwiegh the lost compression? Am i missing something?

The original power pak heads were 1.71 intake 1.50 exhaust with 137cc intake runners.
The later camel humps are heads like your discribing. The bore of the 305 is 3.736, the diameter of the chamber and valves on the heads you have are wider than the bore diameter, This will not only restrict flow but will also cause the intake valve to smack the bore.
