My 37 Dodge business coupe had a power rack on it. It was very sensative. I ran it the first year then changed to a manual rack, it gives me better feel of the road.
Your car is light enough you don't really need a power rack, however if you decide to go with one and use a GM power steering pump make sure you use a pressure reduction valve to lower the pressure to the rack. If you don't it will be very sensitive.
