Question Power rating loss to rear wheels

I would like to find out how much power is lost from the crank to the rear wheels. SB chevy, 700r4 trans, Ford 9" disk brakes.
The dynoshop had it at 310 hp & 330 Torque at rear wheels. Any formula or average out there?

Thanks

usual rule of thumb is 25% loss for automatic transmission; 20% for manual transmissions.

A good figure to use is 75 to 100 HP for automatics and 50 to 75 for standards. The lowest amount I have seen was 45 HP for a front wheel drive standard Honda. The worst was a Ford C6 on a big block, that one was 102 HP. Remember these are all hot readings, when an axle is cold that 80 wt gear oil can easily double the parasitic losses. These figures include other losses like alternators, water pumps, mechanical fuel pumps, fans etc.
