power steering

Does power steering fluid circulate throughout system as the car runs? I;d like to change fluid. The way mine is setup is there's return hose on top of the reservoir and pick up on the bottom. So if I unplugged top hose I could drain it as i fill up system with fresh fluid...

I would pull the bottom hose and let it drain. Your not going to get 100% of the fluid out anyway. You'd be hard pressed to direct the fluid coming out and trying to poor it in with the engine running at the same time.
