Power steering conversion

Hello everyone,

I have a 63 ford van and have seen some posts in the past about converting to power
steering. Now I am trying to figure out if it is possible to use a
1990 mustang crossmember with all the steering componants already
installed. the main problem I am looking for a solution to is how to
get the econo steering shaft to turn the mustang power steering unit
as it will be pointing towards the back of the van and the steering
wheel is obviously pointing to the front and both are pointing away from each other.

Any ideas

Does your van have the solid I-beam Front axle? Or is it the independent front end?

Rear steer?

If I recall those are rear steer with the tie rod behind the axle..?? if we had some pics that would help..Some apps can use the ranger power steering box with not a lot of difficulty..

Axle

Hi, thanks for the replys.

I can't seem to post any pics??? The stock fron axle is a solid i-beam but I want to change over to a '90 mustang setup. the tie rod is in the rear of the mustang x-member and the shaft from the steering wheel is in fron of the axle by a couple of feet.

I need a way of changing the direction with knuckles or something that can (flex ) or something ) more than 90 degrees?
