Power Steering Pump I.D.
Can some one help me with a part # for a saginaw power steering pump. It's on a Chev (350) and has its' own resivoir and has a 5/8" keyed shaft with a nut on the end. Pep boys and Auto Zone don't want me back searching their boxes and all the ones we found so far require a pressed on pulley. I think they came on mid 70's full size GM products.. thanx
From the discription you have given sounds like the pump you have is a mid 60's version. Some of these pumps also had an aeroquipt style pressure fitting instead of the more common inverted flare. My daily driver is a 65'chevy which has this same pump. Most of the drive pulleys on this style of pump were larger than the press on style.I think GM quit using this pump on the small blocks when they went to the long water pump on passenger cars but it use may have continued on the trucks as late as 1970. Oh! I almost forgot to give you some part #'s..GM5693129 was popular as was #7800515 -paulweldit

Thanx for the #'s. Got the pump and it works, this was in my '45 Ford PU with a 350 Chev and a MII power rack and pinion. I got the Gates hoses and #'s to make it work. If any body else needs them I will post them. Most parts places just want to say they don't have anything to fit old vehicles.
