Im trying to change the power steering pump on my 84 cutlass that has a 350 in it, but I cant get the brass nut off that holds on one of the lines. I have line wrenches and they didnt work and I have metwrench which grips the side of the nut instead of the corners and still dont work. Anyone know a good way to get it off? IS the pulley hard to get off as well?
i GOT THE brass nut off after letting it sit in WD40. There is a alan head bolt that holds my pulley on, does anyone know if it is reverse thread or normal? and any ideals on how keep it from turning while I take it off lol. I've been up almost 24 hours so maybe Ill just get some rest and deal with it later
Has anyone ever replaced a power steering pump and it still whine? Its works good and everything, it just still whines. I had the one on my 83 silverado replaced and it whines just alittle bit, but this one is quite louder.
