Power steering pump mount question

I need some assistance guys. I am ready to pull hair since I cannot find that part I need. I had to remove my power steering pump a few weeks ago and upon reinstallation, I realized I am missing a part. I have been calling it a bracket but it most not be since no power steering brackets look like what I am looking for. It is a metal piece that connects to the bottom of the a/c and has a stud on it that is used to tension the power steering pump. I have looked all over and cannot find it. I have done some searching online to see if I could find one to order but have had no luck. If that piece is not a bracket, what is it called. If it helps, the slot used for tensioning the power steering pump belt is located on the right of the pump and the bracket I have on now connnects to a threaded bolt hole on my water pump (long style). The vehicle is a 76 chevy c10. Could someone please help if I have not confused too much?

need a pic to see what style you have as there were a couple different styles with a/c

some used an adjuster threaded stud on the small bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold front stud/bolt
and others had an adjuster bolt hole only.

im not sure which bracket you need exactly.

need a pic or something

i have many laying aroun and can help you if you can tell me exactly which one and what style a/c and p/s setup yours has on it.

in which may or may not be original/correct for your application

also do you have your a/c compressor anymore or use the a/c or has it been removed ?

also do you have exh manifolds, or headers ?

lemme look through my long water pump style sbc brackets pics and see if i have any that may help

heres one pic i have:

see the bracket on the left side, third one down, that is the stud style one.

and the two on the right side are another style that are common

the single bolt hole on the end of these bolts to the front exhaust manifold stud

good luck

Thanks for the reply fast68. i really feel stupid and blind right about now. i went out to take a pic and guess what i found hanging where it should have been? come to find out the bracket was there, it was just loose and had pivoted to where it was out of view. i actually felt it while picking up my power steering pump. oddly enough, it was nothing like any of the brackets you took a pic of. but again, thanks for the reply. i am just glad i did not have to buy new brackets to get it to work. tomorrow i am going to finish the wiring in the cab and take it for a test drive on wednesday now that everything is fixed and back together.

three brackets in the middle

two are identical for 73 to '79/'80-older style

and the black one is '80s a/c style one, all for p/s adjustment

theres a third style too i dont have pic of, it is a second 73to 80 style one that has a bolt stud on it instead of just threaded weld nut hole

which one you need depends on the main large pump bracket you have

they all use front exh manifold bolt.,,., if you got headers then you gotta make spacers about 1" thick or little more..

its all 73-up style

trucks got long pump in 73

72 older trucks were old 60s style short water pump totally different stuff, and still had driver side alt., and 60s ram horn exhausts still too

unlike the cars which moved to pass side and long pump in 69 and also changed to the big log manifolds(most cars, but not all)
