power steering pump mounting help

i have a 68 chevelle with a 454 the prob is that the alt is mounted on the driver side head the power steering pump bracket is mounted on the block under the alt. when i try to put the power steering pump in the pump hit the steering gear box i need to know what brackets to use to make the power steering pump fit. i have a short water pump . please help this is my first engine swap and i am almost finished .can't wait to hear the sweet sound of my 454. thanks in advanced.

Motorchrome has some ALT mounting brackets for SWP/LWP on a BBC.

You may have to swap your ALT over to passenger side (LWP) in order to mount a PS pump. That likelely means using different pulleys as well.

My Journal (see entry #41) has pics of their pulleys and brackets on my 454.
