Power Steering Set-Up Question

I have a 1950 Hudson Coupe which should get a 'Stang II hub-to-hub from Fatmans with the power rack & pinion fairly soon. I plan to put a 95 vette LT1 full drop-in engine (all wiring, accessories including power steering pump) in it. Anyone see any problems just hooking the vette power steering lines to the new rack? Or, are there any modifications to be made first?

Thanks......Jay

No biggie, that is done all the time. Only probelm is that GM pumps put out too much pressure and you wil have goosey steering so get one of those little $39 pressure reducing valves all the rod parts houses sell made specifically for this application.

It slips easily into the high pressure outlet port in the back of the pump and will match the pum to the rack.

Another fix is to get one of Heidt's $80 adjustable pressure regulators. Either way, no biggie.

I believe he is correct. Doesn't FatMans give you that information for their rack?
