Power steering swap

Hi Gang I have a 1979 chevy donor van I wish to install the power steering parts on my stock 1955 2nd seric pickup, is this doable? also any chance the front disc will swap or should I look at a kit fro cpp or alike that has the valving correct and the under cab master cylinder

does anyone know if van bodys are of any value or shall I get some plasma cutting practice

Any thoughts
Thanks B

Years ago ... I made a plate that bolted to the stock steering box plate and adapted it to a mid 60's GM power steering box. Then I used the PS pump from the same vehicle ... worked great.

I would imagine with a little skill and a lot of imagination ... the same thing would work with the van box and pump.

As for the brakes ... ( remember this was in the 70's ) ... I just installed a set of 54 Chevrolet passenger car hubs and drums. Bolted right on ... no modifications. The 54 Chevy hubs and drums were the standard 5 lug Chevrolet pattern.

NOW ... If I wanted discs ... I would most likely buy the kit.
