Power Window Problem

On my wifes 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue, the passenger side rear window only works when it is cold outside. If it's hot out or the car has sat in the sun and gotten hot inside, the window will not work. I swapped switches with the driver side rear window unit and it operated that window just fine. The Drivers side switch did not operate the passenger side window.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? My 3 year old son is really getting mad because his window won't work like his sisters. Family unity is at stake here!!!! LOL!

Thanks for any and all help.

GM power windows are notorious for this....usually won't go up when its` raining.

Usually, from my experience, its the connection to the motor. I have seen where its connection inside the motor is bad. Once they get a few years old, depending on the climate, they start doing this.

I have a Blazer that I bought used with power windows. It PO'd me so bad, that I went and got the guts out of a crank type door and replaced them.

Sounds like it could be the motor connection. Either that or a broken wire that is just barely making contact and will expand and contract with the weather.
