Post powerglide to 2004r

I have a '63 Nova SS with the stock powerglide. I am considering changing it over to a 2004r overdrive. I know there are kits for a 700r4 changeover, including crossmember, etc. My tranny guy says the 2004r will easily handle the 275 horse 327 I have in the car now. Does anyone know of a 2004r "kit"? Will the powerglide crossmember work, or what? Is anyone familiar with the linkage set up on the 2004r vs. the powerglide? Thanks!

I think the 2 transmissions are about the same in lenght, but the mount is about 5 1/2" more to the rear on the 200r4. you'll have to move the crossmember to the rear that amount. there are kits available for the lock-up converter. If you go to "chevytalk.org" you can see a lot of info and exact trans lenght in their forum.
