PPG Epoxy Primer

Hi guys,

I have some unopened PPG epoxy primer that's about 10 years old and always kept in the house not the garage. Will it still be good? Just wondering it seems ok the cans aren't bulging or anything. Thanks

Probably still good, but the solids may be VERY solid in the bottom. The bigger problem will be finding catalyst. You probably have a DP** product, which was replaced by DP**LF products. The catalysts are not compatible.

I do have the catalyst that I bought with it as well. And like I said it has been kept dry in the house.

Unless its DP-40 I wouldnt waste my time with it ...Thats the only PPG epoxy that was any good in the first place. Now days theres some fantastic epoxy primers out there and much cheaper than poor preforming PPG
If its just a spot or a fender,a lawn mower etc... I might use it but not on a whole car that I care about.
