I grabbed my new Sharpe with a 1.4 tip today instead of my usual Devillbiss FL-3 to lay down some SPI epoxy because it has a smaller cup to clean. Nice layout though one piece needs some serious sanding. Evidently I hit the regulator and turned the pressure way down too far, but the other 3 pieces turned out shiny bright
, with little or no final sanding needed (this is over my screwed up 2K. described in a separate post). My experience with the HF gun is mixed. My 43430 gun didn't shoot SPI epoxy worth a darn, but worked great with Nason. And to repeat other's posts, 40 - 50 pounds at the gun is best. |
