PPG k36 surface primer question
Hello everyone,
I am on my final coat of K36 surface primer and was wondering what grit sandpaper I should use for the final pass before the application of the epoxy sealer that I will be using (the base/clear will have to wait for the warmer weather so I am going to coat it with dp76 for now). I am aware that I will need to sand the epoxy sealer before I move on to the base color. But for now, what should I finish the K36 with. Thanks again. |

Final with 600 and leave it alone. When the weather warms clean with wax and grease remover, rescuff and then apply the sealer. I don't think the sealer is needed anyway. A smooth even 600 sanded surface of k36 is fine to put your base over.

I agree with the above comments about the epoxy sealer. K36 can be used as a sealer with a different activator.
