Bob,it looks similar to Sikkens Chameleon 3-stages. Sprayed over black base, its just an effects coat.Couple light coats is all it takes, any dirt in that coat will screw the whole job Kinda like white pearl. I havent seen it but I think Mercedes is going to offer it or something similar on there 2006 models as an option. The Chameleon's about $300.00 a quart and that will do a whole car.

I'm thinking this may be different then chameleon, and the other similar color change paints. Is it just a fine grain metalic? TTT

Check out www.alsacorp.com they sell a mirra chrome and a ghost chrome that have this effect .mirra chrome is sprayed over black but it has to have a shine (dont scuff before spraying ) the more shine under the mirra chrome the more it will look like chrome
