maybe the worst performing carb
yeah right ! i strongly disagree.
i never got them to perform, on anything. the test states out of the box predator vs out of the box 750 double pumper. also that it is better, because it has fewer peices and is easier to tune ? that test data is useless. Last edited by spinn; 06-29-2006 at 09:50 AM. |

it doesnt say what the specs on the motor are. looks to me to be a mild combo, doesnt say. for the first guy have you ever had one that worked properly , the first ones had a problem on the acclerator pump it had problems like leaking . but they have fixed that problem now witha duel diaphram acc pump.

well does the holley fit that many diffrent sizes 300 to 500 c.i. flows 390 cfm to 930 cfm , i dont think the holley can do that , never under or over carburated . this carb is not for the daily driver, you can but with 12.5 to 13.1 air/fuel ratio gas mileage sucks

What's your point, Chevelle? Did you come across one and thinking of buying it? Summit doesn't carry 'em anymore, don't know if they are still in biz. It's pretty easy to match a Carter, Demon, Edelbrock, or Holley to any combo.

If they are so great , why are there not so many around these days?

if thats what you like, try it. then let us know. there was a guy back in my high school that loved em, always listened to skid row...said things like ,"and ill put dual predators on it".
if you have little carb tunning expirence, i recommend a edelbrock or holley with vacuum secondaries. the reason so many people use them is that they work, very, very well. |

You also have to ask WHAT holley 750 did they compare. Was it an all out race carb Holley Hp series like the Predator or a streeter style holley with a choke, choke horn ect ect.
I have never seen one at the track but that does not mean they don't work?? Still in business..... http://www.predatorcarb.com/home.html |

carb
It's like numbers off a flow bench.... looks good in print, but the car can't fall out of a tree with one on!!!!
Try this, buy one put it on your car and race it, get it tuned all you can get... I'll show up with an out of the box holley and smoke your best time by 3 tenth!!!!!at least... Keith |

well i do have one , the motor i have only has 5 pounds of vacum i had a holley with secondary vacs on it , got no idle with it , i know you can drill holes in it stuff like that. it also took to long for the secondary to kick in, i know i could of got a mach sec but i didnt want too. i tryied this predator and its awsome. throttle response is the best ever. it curied my idle problems. why you dont see them a lot is becuase of no advertisment and some people just dont understand them. scared to try new things.
