preping rear end before install

i got a rear end off of a 86 parts car probaly 200,000 miles(truley have no idea), a 10 bolt 7.5 inch, ive removed brakes, brake lines, everything off of it, pressure washed it and going to paint it.

so im putting on new brakes, brake hardware kit, wheel cyl's, drums, rear brake line, fresh gear oil, new cover gasket.

is there anything else i should do to it before i put it in or should it be good?

i am also running 295/50R15s on the back that will probaly add stress to things

Inspect the crown for abnormal wear, and listen for roughness in the bearings when turning it by hand. Look at differential pinions(spider gears)for galling, and check the pin for galling where these gears run. Check backface runout and backlash too(if you have access to a dial indicator and magnetic base). Probably wouldn't hurt to roll a contact pattern, as well. These things could detect problems in their early stages.

g body?

By the looks of your avatar it's going into a g body. Box the lower bars and change the 8 rubber bushings to neoprene. Energy suspension makes good bushings. To remove old bushings. I burn them out.

Put new axle seals in it too. It's a easy job, just don't forget to take the c-clips out.
