the problem is this.. mutual funds/ira's/401k/pensions/etc..
and here is why..
everybodies told to save for retirement.. so they do..with the above vehicles.. and wall street will turn their backs on you if you don't meet whatever number they pull out of a hat.. so for companies to keep their stock price high or on the upswing.. they have to make money for the investors.. many that are tied up in retirement funds.. and as long as their 401k/etc was doing good. no one cared that to get that money that fast ,the companies had to do everything to cut cost.. and moved to cheap labor and no regulations.. and sadly many knew that they where doing and part of.. but didn't give two sh_ts.. as they'll be retired and/or gone...
jokes on them as the bottom fell out early..
only way to turn the table.. is tarriff imported goods.. it'll hurt at first.. but in the long run .it'll be the best move we can make..

You know ?we? could argue/discuss how to fix things until the cows come home but the truth of the matter is this. Any time you are going to fix something that is wrong in a Corporation/Business/Country you have to start at the top. That especially holds true with the USA today and our "BIG" Gooberment. Bottomline is this: "if our Gooberment doesn't stop spending and passing laws to gain votes then we will never be a soverign, solid and independent Country again" and I'm afraid that the light at the end of the tunnel has already gone out.

If you want good paying jobs here in the US, you will need a good skill set and education. Any job that doesn't require that can be done any place else where the cost of living is a fraction of what it is here.

Of course, and the garbage man doesn't compete with labor on foreign soil. The idea is not to perform a task in the building of a product that someone in Bangladesh can do, and I can man the bridge of the container ships bringing that product here.

Another labor issue that we have here in the "good old USA" is a large percentage of the un-specialized citizens refuse to do physical labor for minimal wage, therefore, all of the highway crews are from somewhere other than here. Hmmm, I thought I worded that quite well, if I say so myself.
