Pricing Door Panels/Headliner

I know that an interior job has many variables, but what I was wondering if anyone would be daring enough to give me a ballpark figure on what I should expect to pay someone to create a headliner and two doorpanels, with a very simple design like a half oval spanning most of the door and raised bowtie about 2inches across below the oval. I have armrests and doorpull kits already purchased and plan to cover the panels myself. Any estimate at all is appreciated and gravely needed.

Door panels

I think on the door panels if you are wanting to cover them yourself you might want to check out roddoors.com and see if they have something you can use. It might be hard for an upholster to design without covering themselves. But from past expericece it was around $280 each for custom door panels complete. On the headliner if its an original one you are looking for depending on the vehicle it should be no more than $125 but if you have it custom made you might figure $200 to $300 not installed. We had a custom made headliner for an old 38 Ford which was $260 done in cloth not installed.

Thanks Restore60s that is just what I was wanting to know. I kind of hate the thought of using Roddoors simply because their prices on most stuff is so expensive plus if i buy the model specific I might as well go with the orginal there will be so many people that have that same interior. I just would like to have mine with a little more of a custom flare on the interior. Does anyone know of another company that does panels ready to be covered? I assume there arent any because I have looked and all that seems to pop up is Roddoors. Anyways thanks for the help I now kind of have an idea on what I need to be saving! You were a big help Restore60s!

Door Panels

Your welcome. I talked to a guy that sells material & does some custom work. His suggestion was to buy some vinyl top padding (Foam) draw out your design on the foam, cut it out & glue it to your panel then cover your panel with a tweed or some cloth material. He suggested using 3M 8090 trim glue so you don't have to buy 5 gallons of upholsters glue.
