Im primering my Trans Am to get it ready to sell but i dont have very much money. Home Hardware has some primer called rustcoat that you put in to a gun. I was wondering if you guys think this is a good idea to use this stuff.

Most home hardware stores won't have the correct paint needed for priming a car. Go to a local auto paint supply house and explain to them what you what and they should get you the right paint for your needs.

I like acrylic eurathane primers, but for your purpose you can probably get by with enamel ar maybe some lacquer if it is still offered where you live.

Good luck!
