primer and/or undercoat

I have a 71 camaro that I will be painting the 73 gold-green metallic gm paint code 46. I will be using the dupont 2k high build primer surfacer and intend to use a dupont color coat. Is there a special undercoat/primer for a dupont metallic color. I have never worked will a metallic before, and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

DuPont uses a shaded sealer called "Value shade". Your paint store should be able to get you the recommended shade off the formula for your color. I know DuPont does this with late model colors, I don't know for sure if they do it on the vintage stuff.
