PRO-CHARGING a "Classik"

Well, I've been thinking... the ONLY way to achieve high HP is from a Super charger. I looked around and found the Vortec V-3 kit for my Small Block. its a "fair" price for something thats able to produce 700+ Hp.
QUESTION(s):
1) do i need to rebuild my engine SPECIFICALY for this (dish pistons, special cam & heads)?
2) will i be able to get it to make enought clearance with a STOCK hood?
3) will i be able to run power steering & have my altinator working all at once?

Why don't you share with us the information you have about the blower so we can help build on that.

Short answer...

Question 1 - yes

Question 2 - I don't know without knowing the bracket configuration and vehicle it will be in, you're not giving us much info on things.

Question 3 - yes, if the blower mount is configured to clear both.

my account wont work (log on), so this is mine now. but its a 1970 Chevorlet Custom. it was a Sball block. from the top of the air clearner to the top of the hood os about 2-4.5" and from my altinator (right side) to the fender well is 6-9" across, plenty of depth also (Down).

Ok so heres the Specs to make 500hp (or so I think). **ALL from Jegs.com

CAM: Comp Cams "Xtreme Energy" Hydraulic Roller

CRANK: Eagle 383ci Stroker Kit @ 9.7:1 Compression w/ 64cc

HEADS: AFR 195cc Aluminum Street Cylinder Heads; 65cc Combustion @ 64cc Exaust

INTAKE: Edlebrock Performer RPM Manifold 1500-6500rpm

CARB: Holley 750cfm "Double Pumper" Mechanical secondaries

By what i found this should make around 500hp.

Do you already have those parts or is that just the parts that you are planning on using?
