well as it seems, it's a 50/50 chance for a $50 part.. I'd much rather spend $90 on a known good part than a 50% chance of wasting $50

Wasting money isn't what concerns me, White offers a Lifetime warranty on the dizzys sold by them. What concerns me is that if the gear or bearings are of inferior quality, the dizzy could grenade at high RPM's and destroy my entire engine.

I'm just not convinced the White dizzy is any different than the Summit or Jegs version.

I took my spare "Skip White" HEI down to my buddy's shop today. He just bought a new MSD Street Fire HEI so we decided to do a side by side comparison. If you peeled the little "Street Fire" sticker off his none of us would have been able to tell the difference. They were I-D-E-N-T-I-C-A-L except for the packaging and price. Mine was in a clear plastic blister inside the dorky no name pink box and his was in a styrofoam packagng inside a box with fancy graphics and MSD plastered all over it, that is the ONLY difference. Take it for what it's worth but I paid $49.99, he paid $129.99 and he is PO'd!

We're just a few "dominoes" from being there already.......Even when we think we're buying "homegrown" products we probably aren't.

I can do that but not until next week, my buddy is racing this weekend. I'm going to cover the area on each distributor where the MSD label is, take side by side pics with both in the shot and then you guys tell me which is which. I'll probably start a new post. It should be interesting.

Another thread is asking about another suspiciously similar HEI from summit his has fancy clear cap, wants to know about vac can adjustment, so do I, if we figure out what type of advance can adjustment they are either when or how much it puts in or both we can cover half the HEI can adjustments questions on the planet...mass production madness Hippie is there a prize for the right answer? lol

I've been running the Pro-Comp on my SBF for over a year now with an MSD 6A and haven't had any problems. It's a nitrous motor putting about 500~ to the wheels...
