This is so true. It is American Auto parts companies that are getting the stuff made cheap in China.
They set the bar. If you think you are getting a "as good as" product... You will find out.

Why in the blue hell would you buy a chi-com crank; be warned about using it at all, and then wind the poor S.O.B. to 7 grand??? If the motors owner had half a lick of sense, he would have kept the motor in the 5krpm range and probably been happy with it for awhile. Customers never cease to amaze me.
Suprx125: Sorry for your experience, hopefully the people you sold to don't come down on you; but this is why I hate selling worn or suspect parts, especially to friends....even when Im honest, I still get flak.
In his defense, he said he had used Pro Comp stuff before with no issues so I guess we both learned a lesson. The guy with the heads had no prior experience (that i knew of) with Pro Comp. The heads were still in the boxes/bags when he got them. The plastic hadn't even been opened so he knew they were brand spanking new. I will never buy/sell pro comp again, unless someone needs a boat anchor.

This is why I quit giving camshaft recommendations to people on the interweb. It's a no-win situation when a guy says "street/strip"- when only HE knows how, exactly, the vehicle will be used, and I guess too far one way or the other. Then I'm the bad guy? Forget that!

End of OT rant.
