Your question is an oxymoron. If you don't care where they're made how can you care about quality? My suggestion is, since quality seems to be the issue, purchase from a known quality company such as Holley, Barry Grant, Quick Fuel, etc.

i bought one last year the 4412 holly 2 barrel on my circle car, didnt work worth a crap! car wouldnt rev, black smoke like CRAZY! no matter what we did, it wouldnt cooperate, so the stocker went back on. I think the block is still on my shelf.

Without knowing what it is exactly that you want to accomplish, there are ways to have a 4160 w/a jetable secondary side w/o needing to go to a block.
Quick Fuel offers an affordable plate ($41.16 + S&H) w/replaceable jets, you can do this mod to a Holley plate as well. |

I want tunable PVCR's and emulsion circuts. I can convert a standard Holley block, which i may end up doing but the $45 for two procomps is dirt cheap and I don't have to worry about goofing up threads when I tap it.
