Thanks to you guys, I now have what is the BEST carburetor I have ever owned. I had never heard of Patrick James and http://www.pro-system.com/index.html before visiting these forums looking for help with my previous carb.

Patrick asked me about my entire engine/truck combination and built me a 4150 HP Holley 780 DP that is the most responsive carb I have installed and tuned in the last 25 years. All I had to do was turn each idle mixture screw in 1/8th turn, bump the idle speed up a bit and I was burning up my rear tires and enjoying the newfound power like never before. My engine is so much more responsive that it feels like it has gained an extra 50 cubic inches, it just flat out works!

My old carb should work better feeding my friends new engine, a bigger 11.1 compression 410 Mopar that is going into a much lighter 72 Duster with more converter and gear. Should be dyno testing it in a couple of months.

Yep I use them exclusively.

I can build a 1,000 HP twin Whipplecharged engine. Give the details to Pat and the carbs come dialed right in.

When I go to that website, I don't see anything that shows they do Carb work-what am I missing? I am looking for a price list, or the type of modifications they do, etc.-

you will need to call patrick for prices... Every carb is custom built so they really do not have a set price for them....I am a shop so i pay a different price then retail. But i can tell you that his prices for a custom carb is close to what a stock unit is....

Well unless you are getting some trick dominator or something..

Haven't I said about a thousand times that a good carb makes all the difference.


While more expensive for the all out mod, you can get the basics for little money. I have a carb guy that does all my work out of NY. He charges $50 for rebuild and $75 for a blueprint job. $350 for a full mod.
