proform throttlebase upgrade,holley 4777

I just bought a billet proform throttle baseplate for my holley 4777.Now i'm in the process of tunning it.The first problem I had was that the car would'nt stay running. So i adjusted the idle and then idle mixture screws and niether helped. So the next thing i played with was the secondary throttle stop screw and then it stayed running at a high idle.So when i try to adjust the idle srew now my idle actually drops instead of raises.I got it to idle where i wanted using thesecondary thottle stop & idle mixture screws but the idle screw is still now doing what i want.My next thing i played with was the primary squirter pump adj.In park with i gave it a little gas the rpms would drop so that adj helpedand i tried a test drive now a low rpms taking off it stumbles and smoothes out at about 2500 rpms.Any ideas???
