Which Program Would You Like To Master ??

I myself am still a newbie at really anything but photoshop on a beginner level, I'd like to move a bit towards Illustrator and maybe even some Flash or Freehand. I contunuallly try free programs but some tutorials and guides are lacking to actually master this stuff and it takes years. Simple filters that can turn photos into art and so forth are great but not what I like. Line Art is particlarily interesting for me. I've been trying some large format brush's with a good result, creating shapes myself and the killer is flames which I can never find the right ones, lol. Font creation is also one of my interests.

Any of you guys interested in programs you don't have but would like to learn ??

An easy and free way to learn how to use photoshop is to log onto youtube. Do a search for photoshop and the tool you want to master. Example pen tool. People in the youtube community have made alot of videos showing how to do all kinds of tricks (my kids showed me this). Some are better than others but hey it is free. You will need to have photoshop or illustrator. Hope this helps.

I am still trying to learn to make a decent 3d model and what everything does in rhino 3d. Whats cool is that with another free program, lithunwrap, I could unwrap a bump map which you can paint with different paint schemes and then wrap that paint scheme onto the body. I also have bryce which has better rendering and materials features, that I can import any models I make into, but don't know the program real well.

Only racing, you picked a few years too old and a galaxie instead of a fairlane for this months contest, lol.

Rodder, I've been through a bunch of them, but CS3 seems to not work the same way as version 8 or seven, most have been done on you tube with that version. I have both CS2 and CS3 and just aquired Illustrator CS2 but and looking to get CS3 also since I have the extended with the bridge feature. I personally wanted to go from a scanned sketch into line art, I have the brush tool down pretty good and layer comps. Dviestra sent me an awesome link and it's very detailed yet it's not quite what I thought I was capable of.

I've seen some of those 3D modeling and really, I have a hard time telling if they are real or not, some guys are extremely good at it if not masters. I have seen the plane frames to wrap too. cool suff.

I apologize for the earlier Galaxie but something tells me it's someone elses turn to choose this month for the next car. Please keep joining in the competitions.
