Progress on my chevelle

I have found some time to cut my wheel tubs out to fit the slicks in and smooth the dash and firewall. What do you guys think so far? Can anyone give me the best method to take my axle length measurement to get my rearend narrowed for my wheel and tire combo? Oh and dont worry the car will sit lower then it is in the picture

Looks good! man those are some big tires!
how low are you going? I think it looks pretty good at the height you have it at in the picture.

I want to go about an inch lower in the rear maybe more. From the pictue you cant see that the car isn't level so I plan on dropping the front. I have some 2 inch drop spindles and the weight of a big block so I should be set. Thanks for the complement

You've got it set up to measure already! Easiest way is to set the tires/wheels where you want them in the wheel wells then measure between the surfaces that mate to the axle flange. Give that measurement to the shop that's narrowing the axle assembly, and tell them that's the hub to hub length you want. Make sure you have at least 1/2" clearance between the tire and fender lip and on the inside -- 3/4" is better.
