A few flow indicators aren't a problem.

Now get that SPI clear out in the sun and let it cure - just be careful and wear sunglasses so the glare doesn't blind you :D
Good job, keep posting those awesome videos

deadbodyman 06-04-2011 09:39 PM

Thats a lotta late nites, and a lotta problems, Was it worth it?????
You bet yer bippy it was ,wait till you pull it outside,it'll really look fantastic, you wont even want to sand&buff it at all ,But trust me when you see it outside ,the feeling you get will be just like the feeling you'll get when it's sanded and buffed, you think it looks good now? just wait, your half way there buddy and it looks super good.....its really good to see it come out this way after all the trouble you had,I kept saying to myself all he needs is someone to show him a few tips....Tell your buddy "thanks" from all of us that wanted to be right there helping you ,he's just like us,it takes a certain kind of person to do this all day and and help someone out all night until its done... WOW!!!! is exactly right...
sanding and buffing is a lot of work also so I hope you video that part too...you got some great vids keep em coming ,I'm sure they'll help a lot of guys out .....

what fans did you use for exhaust?

Old Fool 06-05-2011 04:59 PM

Just thinking about the lack of air flow.
Try using an intake fan to push fresh air in while the exhaust fans evacuate it.
Maybe using a shutter on the intake will let you still maintain negative pressure , but at a much higher exchange rate .

I originally watched and heard you commenting on the Finishline about it's narrow fan pattern and initially I was like 'what's he talking about? I have no problems with that fan pattern.'

So it was the very next I was shooting some epoxy and I wanted to open the pattern up more and it was then when I really did realize what your complaint was. Indeed it has a relatively narrow pattern.

Your video is an inspiration to me, because you've encountered these issues that I see in the vid and I'm thinking to myself 'oh God I'm glad that's not me' (even though it totally would be when I'm in that situation) and then I watch you plow through it, deal with the issues, and come out with great results.

I also loled at the chicken.

Has anyone seen any updates on this project? Sure would like to see it after he cut and buffed it.

thanks! Glad to see he is proceeding, thought he might have gotten frustrated and shelved it for a while.
