Keep searching!!! It took me 6 months to find a '56 Chevy that I could afford. I've got about 3 years of work to do before I'll be able to drive it. I had almost bought something else, but did some real thinking on it and decided that this was what I really wanted. I've been a mechanic for over 30 years now and have a good idea how to do almost anything I need to do to rebuild it. Remember one thing " The only stupid question is the one you don't ask ".

If these were my only choices I would go with the 89 Mustang, I think its a nicer looking body style. If these are not your first choice cars and you would rather have something else, I suggest you wait and buy what you really want.

I'd go with something less 'cookie cutter' Everyone and their dog has a camaro or mustang.
