Proper TV cable installation on 700r4?

I am installing the TV cable on my 700r4 and was wondering if someone could walk me through the correct procedure to mak sure that I get it installed right. The connection inside the tranny is in the shape of a "c" but the end of the TV cable will not slip over the first bend in the connection. Really could use some input on this one guys don't want to burn up this tranny.

Thanks,
Alan

I don't think it needs to go past the bend. Mine didn't anyway. Just slide it onto the connection and pull it tight while pushing the housing into the trans, then tighten the holddown bolt. The connection at the carb is the critical connection.

So it won't slip off the connection in the tranny?

No, it actually gets pulled up into the barrel portion of the cable.
