Is he the one giving the warranty on the heads? Did he warn you of any possible things that are NO NOs? Just follow the manual and you almost CAN'T screw up. But if something goes wrong, and you have to go back to the guy, ADMIT NOTHING DENY EVERYTHING AND IMPLY COUNTER-ACCUSATIONS! This has always worked for me!

If its stock just install new gaskets make sure you have um face up if they are marked face up other wise put um label up.There will be two medium lenght head bolts put these in the lower corners(17,14) under the valve covers.Put the shortys along the outside edge and long bolts in the rest. Then tork the heads to 1/2 of spec (45 if its 70)etc..Then torque um to full torque. Then drop in the pushrods install the rockers. When adjusting the valves the warrenty probably wants you to adjust um on the stand(I adjust um wet so I dunno).
Also retorque after a little while of run time.

But seriously, if the intake gaskets have a water port restrictor, make sure these go in the back of the motor. You will have major problems if they block flow to the thermostat. If you follow the Haynes manual (don't do any short-cuts) you should be fine. He cant argue too much about any warranty disputes if you follow the manual. Although Haynes and Petersons really suck for anything in-depth, they are really good for jobs like this.
