Proportioning valve or block?

I'm wondering what to go with.

I have 4 wheel disc brakes on a '37 Chevrolet. I have seen some people just run a rear proportioning valve with a knob to turn and others run a block that both the front and rear lines run into.

What are the benefits of each or which one is best?

Thanks,
Brandon

it really all depends on weight of vehicle, size of motor, etc. some builders do not use them at all. my advice would be to install one in the rear brakes, that way you can fine tune the braking system to your liking.

Ok, thanks. I'll go that route.
