PT Cruiser V8 Convertion

Anyone see a PT Cruiser V8 conversion? That car would look really cool with a blower out the hood.

Regards
Mark

In the April 2002 issue of Mopar Action, there is a company named Automotive Innovations USA that was building V8 PT Cruisers. I would list their website, but it no longer works. You supply them with a PT Cruiser and they will rebuild it with a small block, a 426 Hemi, or a Viper V10. The prices start at about 26 grand for the small block, 75 grand for a fuel injected hemi, and 100 grand for the upgraded V10.

The '06 PT Cruiser convertible will be the only such vehicle with a pass-through trunk and a 'fold and tumble' rear seat. It will have 10 inches more rear seat legroom than either the convertible VW Beetle or Ford Mustang, giving it the most interior volume in its class. Debuting in March, a turbo engine will be optional.

To bad it's not a real photo.... Would be cool though. I guess it would mean a body off cut the floor out rework of the whole car.

Still would be a very interesting project car.

Mark

It seems that you didn't even look at my post above. You say that you want a street legal V8 PT Cruiser. I told you a company that is building them. They also build a street legal V10 version. If you want to call them thier number is (248)960-0700 or toll free at 866-960-8700.

I did look at them but 75,000 for a conversion is WAY outa my league

I was hoping for a cheaper way.
