I pulled my 350 to day for rebuild . It's a 3970010 bolck on the Year It has F196 There no way it's a 1996 what is the year. The crank number's is 442 cast 2 bolt main 010 and 020 is this a good block the heads are 441 heads 255 horse power do all the number match to be factory . I could of Swore it was a 4 bolt main .Is this moter any good . Thank's

Block is just fine for a rebuild, the 10 - 20 blocks are fairly strong blocks. 4 bolt main caps aren`t important unless you plan on making over 500 horsepower. 4 bolt main blocks were mostly used in heavy duty applications. your date means 1976. as that casting number didn`t exist in 66 and was no longer used in 1986.

Good Luck with your 350 Rebuild, that is a Good Block....
70 Nova, you have a Good Block for Rebuild, Like the other post says, your 2-bolt main is Plenty good enough. I love 350 Engine's , they are strong and plenty fast.
Good Luck with your Rebuild, I am also rebuilding a 350, and it is a 4-bolt main block. I did not know it was a 4-bolt main block until my friend brought it to my house. Juice  Good Luck Hot Rodder! |
the "010" block, along with it being the high nickel version, is about the best there is for a good buildup. I've got the same exact thing at the machine shop now. Going 30 over, coated Speedpro Hypers, crane cam, so on and so on... LOL
