Are you planning on using the long or short pump? That is your 1st decision, as they take different pulleys.

Alternator and PS barckets are different too.

well i think im going to use the long waterpump.. and for the power steering... the 280zx has hydraulic power steering.. do i need to use that power steering pump or a chevy steering pump? i had been thinkin about that lately also.. lol

Don't know about that PS pump, but another way you could go is with the later model "serpentine" belt system. Just remember, that water pump turns the other way.

your challenge with the PS pump is going to be mounting it properly so that you get good belt attachment / alignment.

you could go with a Saginaw power steering pump (and stock brackets) and hook it up to your existing equipment using hose adapters, but make sure to find out what pressure your stock PS pump produces. Saginaw pumps produce a lot of pressure... can't remember specifically but it's a lot. you obviously want to match the pressures as closely as possible if you're building a "frankensteering" setup.
